 WE ARE LOOKING FOR ENTHUSIASTIC, DEDICATED, EXCITED, HARDWORKING, UIL COACHES:
The University Interscholastic League offers a wide variety of academic contests for high school students, encompassing many elements of required high school coursework. These contests build upon the academic skills developed in the classroom and offer students an opportunity to stretch their talents above and beyond those requirements.
There are 22 UIL academic contests offered at UHS. Applications (attached) are currently being accepted until Wednesday, Sept. 10th for teachers interested in coaching any of the UIL contests. Please turn applications in to A-4 or place them in Ms. Centilli's box.

If you have not done so already, you need to make an appointment with Peter Pan Studios on Calton Road to get your senior portrait taken. If Ms. Sepesi doesn't get the proofs before the end of September your picture will not appear in the yearbook. MAKE YOUR APPOINTMENT TODAY!!!! Please try and make the appointment after 12:00 PM.

Longhorn Community,
Welcome to another year of building upon our "Tradition of Excellence". We are proud of the continued success that United High School has had in curricular and extracurricular activities. We are truly building a "Tradition of Excellence". From the classroom to the playing field, our expectations are that our students will receive the highest caliber of instruction from their teachers and coaches to improve their knowledge and skills. Our efforts in continually improving our delivery of instruction to meet the diverse needs in every classroom, has improved the academic performance of our students. Our commitment to meeting the goals and objectives for our campus has brought us closer to reaching a "Recognized" campus rating.
As we begin our last year at our present campus, we have the highest expectations for academic achievement in order to enter our United High School as a "Recognized" campus. We also look forward to all of our UIL Extracurricular competitions and wish our students /athletes well in performing to the best of their abilities. We know they will keep the tradition alive and continue to set the mark for future Longhorns to excel!
