In April, students from the United High School HOSA program competed in the State Leadership Conference in Galveston, Texas. Club sponsor, Anna Santiago, would like to thank everyone for their support of the HOSA students. She said, “it was an experience the students will never forget.”

  • Service Project team: Fernanda Sanchez, Camila Morgado and Karen Flores earned 2nd place!  
  • Happenings Team: Antonio Méndez and Abraham Peña were recognized and awarded a certificate of excellence!
  • Medical Law and Ethics:  Valeria Martinez Gutierrez did not advance to nationals but was recognized for being a state competitor for two years in a row!
  • The UHS HOSA Chapter along with Sophia Vance was recognized in the blood drive event as a silver level campus with almost 300 units of blood units collected in one school year.
  • Hector Cavazos served as a voting delegate for the UHS HOSA chapter in the state officer selection process.
  • April Velasquez and Guarino Cavazos were selected to help orient and manage middle school HOSA chapters from around Texas in the Health Career Display competitive events.
